It’s that time of year again, the end. I set aside some time over the last two days to review my 2022 photos and pick out my favorites from the year. After browsing thousands of images, I eventually narrowed them down and even found some forgotten gems that had never been edited.
I can list 1,000 awful things that happened this year, but if I’m going to take up a chunk of space on the internet at the end of 2022, I’d rather it be a collection of my photographs. Each photo holds a story and reminds me of every time I didn’t completely give up. It reminds me of the times I felt at peace, felt hopeful, or found joy through the smile of the subject in front of my lens.

Ok, this isn’t exactly a photo, but it was one of my favorite creations of 2022. Planning and executing this extremely amateur short film/reel helped me unlock crystals of my creativity that had been hidden away for a long time. Partly out of fear, and mostly due to the burden of perfectionism I put on myself because of my work. I had forgotten one of the key pieces of creation: fun. Vecna or no Vecna, I’m hoping to make some more of these in 2023.
