Thank you for making my 40th birthday celebration unforgettable 💜
Liz Degen & Friends was up at Barrier Brewing Co in Oceanside, NY until the very last day of the year 2025. This gallery concept started as a seed in the form of a delirious note in my phone written at 1 am last February. After over a year of planning, connecting dots, reminiscing, digging up old work and reviewing portfolios, reaching out to artist friends who have been an important part of my journey, months of curating, weeks of writing, and finally days of building, my variety show of a gallery came together in a way that truly forced me to take a step back. This collection honors creations from the mind of a kid who doesn’t even know what taxes are yet, unique assignments from art school, commissions for work, and brand new masterpieces created simply for the joy and challenge of art itself.
